In 1982, Rev. Dr. W. David Lee attended Syracuse University on a football scholarship and graduated in 1986 with a BA in economics. After graduating from Syracuse University, Dr. Lee returned to Ansonia, CT and worked for Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance Company.

 

God interrupted his plans and called Dr. Lee into ministry in 1988.  Dr. Lee went on to receive his Masters of Divinity from Yale University 1993 and his Doctorate from United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio in 2001 under the prolific mentorship of Dr. Wyatt Tee Walker and Dr. W. Franklyn Richardson.  

 

Dr. Lee has an extensive history of working closely with unions, community organizations, and faith based groups to organize for social and economic justice.  As a graduate of Yale Divinity School and the prominent pastor of one of New Haven, CT's most historical churches, Dr. Lee shook the Yale establishment in 2002 when he was nominated by Yale Alumni to become a candidate to contest for a seat on Yale Corporation's Board of Trustees.  As a Senior Pastor of an expanding church in New Haven, CT, Dr. Lee worked to address pressing social and economic issues through community-oriented programs in the late 1990's.

 

Dr. Lee has extensive efforts in pastoral, union, and community organizing and over twenty years of developing and expanding pastoral ministries. Dr. Lee was an associate pastor at Second Baptist Church of Atlantic City, New Jersey under the  stellar leadership of Rev. Collins A. Days Sr.  

 

Currently  Dr. Lee is the Senior Pastor at Beulah Baptist Church, Woodford, VA .  He is passionate about serving Christ and he is an anointed preacher, teacher and workshop leader who inspires all by his message of "Love" Under his leadership and vision Beulah renovated the sanctuary in a record thirty days including a state of art media addition.  Beulah has been growing spiritually and by membership.  He has often been quoted as saying "We may not be the best church but you won't find any other church any better"

 

Rev. Dr. W. David Lee is married to the former Yvonne Brown and they have a wonderful blended family of seven children Cary (Danielle), Talia, Isaiah, Jordan, Noah, Nile-(twins), Faith, one grandson Cooper and grandaughter Remi.
